The Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Life

From May 9, 2018 to May 11, 2018, VNU University of Engineering and Technology organized the First Conference on AI for Life (AI4Life). This is an international forum for practitioners and researchers among Academia, Industry, and Government to present novel research results in Artificial Intelligence, to communicate and exchange innovative ideas, as well as to discuss potential applications. The conference aims to raise the public awareness on the recent advances and emergence of Artificial Intelligence in every aspect of our life.


Mini-course of Natural Language Processing for Cinnamon

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, DSL and Cinnamon AI started a mini-course in natural language processing for the Intelligence Program of Cinnamon. This is a 4-week course, focusing on some selected topics of natural language processing for about ten young and motivated students selected by Cinnamon AI. 

Cinnamon AI is a Japanese start-up in AI. Dr. Le Hong Phuong, Head of DSL is the instructor of the course.

Meetup with Prof. Kazuhiro Suga of Kogakuin University

On March 9, 2018, DSL members warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Kazuhiro Suga of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kogakuin University, Japan. Prof. Suga presented some research interests of his laboratory in computational mechanics and applications in medical imaging, in particular in orthodontic force system. The two sides have discussed about potential research collaboration.
